Please Keep It Simple....I ain't very poota literate
I have loads of photos on my desktop/groups on FB but I can never get them to show on here, and I don't know why.
When I copy and paste the link I remove one http cos the MSE box puts one in for you............then.........I get a little box but no image

You need to upload the images to something like photobucket then link to the image on there

Oh, I thought as long as the photo/image was already in cyber space (which FB and my desk Top are) then you could just copy and paste the url“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel

I think you need to load it upto a host site like photobucket then on your post theres an insert image option where you put the url (it will show you the url when you upload to photobucket) bit of a faff thoughThanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I normally take a photo upload to my desk top go to the doggy forums I am a member of on FB click post photo choose the one I want and click post.....Simples!!
The url on my images is https but on MSE the beginning url is http does that make a difference?
Chrissie/B*C/Bella/Mrs Bot do you all upload your images to such as Photobucket?“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel

The forum does not store any photographs (apart from the tiny sig image) so they have to be linked from a hosting site such as photobucket/youtube etc or images on active webpages.0

Using photobucket, picturetrail or similar hosting sites is the recommended method, but if the image is on a server that is public and always on (ie. 24/7) and you can find the image URL (ends .jpg or .png) then you just need to add [IMG][/img] at the beginning and at the end.
example https://i.ytimg.com/vi/RyTFYBTVam8/maxresdefault.jpg
doing this to the above image gives wee Nikki Krankie:0 -
The newt said you mentioned me?
Photo wise no I don't use photo bucket
The funny shaped seaweed is from my facebook album.
All I did was right click on the image the paste the link into the url box on the image thingy on the post.Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
